Goodbye Jenna! 💚

I had the pleasure of staying here at Medilodge of Portage for rehab. I was a little afraid at first, but things got easier thanks to your Therapy team. Thank you all for your care, and I hope not, but if I had to, I would love to come back to your facility.

I went into the hospital and I could not walk, I chose Medilodge of Portage because it was close to my home. I enjoyed working with Stacy and Ashley, they were easy to work with and very understanding. Kelly the CNA was helpful in every way and very special. I learned a lot from being here and I will miss it.

Everyone at MediLodge of Portage has treated me great. All the staff has been nice. I have never had any negative words to say about anyone. Therapy and Speech did an excellent job in my recovery. I, at first, hated seeing them come in but appreciated there dedication to get me back to where I needed to be to go home again. I would recommend this facility to anyone.

I came here in September for some rehab, not knowing what the outcome will be after my stroke. With the help of the Therapy team and staff, I have come a long way in my recovery. I would really like to thank Beth in OT for the extra work that she put in focusing on my bad hand. Also big thank you to Karen and Dontaja for going the extra mile bringing me my coffee before I even had to ask. Keep up with the great work MediLodge staff.

I have been treated very well during my stay at MediLodge of Portage. Fredericka was the one who made my stay here memorable. She always brightened up my day with her bubbly personality. Tina was also a great addition and was very patient and caring with me. Therapy was extensive and pushed me as much as I pushed myself. Overall everyone has been terrific! I’d recommend MediLodge of Portage to anyone who has to go to a facility.

I was a little apprehensive due to a previous experience but was pleasantly surprised with the staff and service. I felt like part of the family especially when I saw my friend Janice Shaw working here. I would come back again if needed.

Overcoming a stroke is not an easy task; however, MediLodge of Portage met the challenge and exceeded my expectations. The first thing I took away from MediLodge is perfectly said on their welcome bags: Recover, Rejuvenate, Revitalize, and Return home. Secondly, they had a saying there “teamwork makes the dream work.” Thirdly is I can do anything through Christ, which strengthens me. All three of these got me through what I considered a challenging and difficult time in my life. Even the residents would tell me, “Calvin, you are a victor, not a victim,” and I was able to overcome, grow, and return home with all of this. Thank you, MediLodge! Thank you, staff! And thank you, Therapy team, for always challenging me.

I came to MediLodge of Portage for rehab and everyone has met the criteria to get me better. They did that with a smile on their face and a good sense of humor. We had a lot of fun! The nurses, CNA’s, Therapy, and Resident Voice were great during my stay. I’d recommend this place for rehab anytime.
