Schedule a Facetime chat with a ResidentThere is a great group of people here at Medilodge of Portage and I have really enjoyed dealing with each and every one of the staff members. My daughter made the decision to send me to here for rehab and I can now see why she choose this facility. I like the firmness and dedication that the Therapy team gave to me to see that I recover. Each and all the staff knew there job well and I’m thankful for all their hard work to get me back home. The whole staff is more skilled then I realized and they showed that throughout my stay. I consider Medilodge my home away from home and I will miss you all. Thank you Medilodge team.
I want to take this opportunity to thank the entire staff at Medilodge of Portage for making my recovery and rehabilitation possible.
I arrived at the facility by way of an ambulance and confined to a stretcher back on March the 19th 2020. At the time my pain level was off the chart and my mood and disposition were quite unfavorable. I sincerely apologize to the nursing staff and CNA's then who had to deal with me in those early days of my stay.
Since that time my physical condition has been substantially and visibly improved and I have been cleared for discharge on May 21, 2020.
Over the past 2 months, I have not only made some dear friends but many of you have become like family members since I don't have any immediate family in the area. This unforeseen reality has gone a long way in helping with my recovery.
Your unrelenting patience in the administering of medications, meal preparation and delivery, custodial, laundry services, administrative services, and hot coffee is unsurpassed in the healthcare industry.
During this Coronavirus epidemic, all of you have demonstrated not only are you essential but quite invaluable. I truly hope that corporate levels realize that all of you have earned your pay, and still deserve a considerable increase in pay and benefits for your levels of professionalism.
